CORINTHIAN VINTAGE AUTO RACING INC
TREASURER'S REPORT TO THE MEMBERSHIP-YEAR ENDED DECEMBER 31 2008

Corinthians-
CVAR "staged" six events during 2008, four in Texas and two at Hallett in
Oklahoma.  These events generated 683 entries compared with 815 entries for seven
events in 2007.  Event by event participation looks like below.
TWS Feb HMRC Apr MSR FW May TWS Sep HMRC Oct TWS Nov ECR Dec
2007 135 100 112 113 130 113 112
  ECR May
2008 141 98 130 112 89 113 N/A
Average entry number for 2008 was approx 114 compared with 116 in 2007; surprising
to me as I expected one less event in 2008 would result in a higher average number of
entries.
2008 entry and related fees were received in the amount of $ 216,200- compared to
$ 233,800- for seven events in 2007;  reflected in the 2008 totals are entry fee
increases for the weekend entry that were effective for 2008. Average entry fee per
participant was $ 315- in 2008 compared with $ 287- the previous year.
Event costs for 2008 ran $ 215,000-;  we covered our costs for the year.
The two Hallett events garnered some $ 6,000- for the treasury;  the
three TWS events cost some $ 1,600- more than entry fees received; ECR
costs exceeded entry fees by some $ 3,000-.  It appears to me we need an
average entry of 125 at TWS to break even assuming $ 5,000- in garage rental
receipts;  we averaged 120 in 2008.  ECR needs an entry of 140; we had 130.
Hallett needs 60 entries to break even;  we had 90+;  although I suspect the HMRC
folks would not be terribly plesed with only 60 entries on a regular basis.
In addition to entry fees the "club" received some $ 14,000- in dues, sponsorship
and miscellaneous monies in 2008 compared to $ 19,000- in 2007.  Most of the
difference between 2007 and 2008 can be attributed to one time sponsorships for
our Formula Ford festival at Hallett in Oct 2007.  Non event expenses
(Advertising, Board Meetings, Insurance, Printing and Postage, and Misc Items)
were some $ 14,000- in 2008 and a like amount in 2007.
Not a bad year.  We covered our costs and added some cash to our reserve, most of
which is required for deposits on tracks for 2009 events which come due shortly.  The
2009 schedule calls for the same event locales as 2008. The real jewel in our program
"financially" is Hallett;  the Stephens' family gives us a VERY GOOD deal, and the
two Hallett events in fact help carry the rest of the schedule.  We know some of
our costs are going up;  we are looking at ways to "contain" those increases.
Hopefully by February we will all be ready and able to show up in droves at TWS and
get 2009 off to a great start.  We can do so knowing that we offer the most "escape
from the real world", aka track time, at the lowest price around.
Respectfully submitted,
  JohnLGaudette
