The event is to be held October 4th-7th in conjunction with the annual Thunder on the Cimarron races held by Corinthian Vintage Auto Racing ( CVAR ).  Formula Ford only feature races are scheduled, with trophies and door prizes.  Saturday and Sunday will be qualifying and races along with the regular CVAR weekend.  Thursday and Friday are optional extra days you can enter.  Friday will have a Formula Ford feature race as well.  The full schedule will be set closer to the event date, but you can bet on lots of track time.  We usually have a warm-up, qualifying and race on Saturday, and a warm-up and two races on Sunday.  Sunday right after lunch will be the final Formula Ford feature race, with awards presented afterwards. 
 
Transponders
CVAR uses AMB transponders.  These will be required for lap times and results on your car.  Some loaners may be available, but they go fast. 
 
Vintage Eligibility
Actual race groups will be set depending on the entry list, but for the purpose of eligibility your car must meet one of the two groups CVAR recognizes for vintage Formula Ford.  We generally follow the Monoposto rules for FF.  If in doubt please us.
 
FF1 - pre-1973 Formula Fords running spec Dunlop tires
FF2- up to 1980 Formula Fords, slicks and alloy wheels allowed, or older FF not running Dunlops
- we do make exceptions for cars meeting other organization's rules - alloys ok
 
Covered Paddock
There will be a tent available for paddocking the Formula Ford cars.  We hope this will be big enough to fit everyone, but if not, it will become first come first served.
 
Party and Costume Contest
Friday night the track is hosting a party for us Formula Ford racers.  The CVAR weekend includes a party at the track Saturday evening.  The Stephens family organize a wonderful multi-course meal.  Story-stretching liquid refreshments are provided.  At this event CVAR also holds a period costume contest, so come prepared- Grand Prize is free race entry!!

Entry - REGISTRATION OPEN
To Enter go to the October event listed on the CVAR schedule, and click on "Register Online".  CVAR uses online registration thru dlbracing.com.  If you are a first time user of this system, you will have to set up a username for yourself and enter you car information.  A link to instructions is also on the schedule page for each event. 

Each day is entered individually.  That is, you can come for one, two, three or four days!

CVAR has a rather lenient cancellation policy (see registration instructions), and we'd like to keep it that way, so please don't abuse this.  We will be renting a tent for the Formula Ford cars to paddock under, so we would really, really, really like to know if you are cancelling several weeks before the event so we can arrange the correct size tent.
